Legion of Mary

Meetings:
Praesidium meeting: Every Sunday after 6:30am Mass & Saturday after 7:00am Mass.
Curia meeting: Every 3rd Sunday by 10.30am.
Configuration: Catholics who faithfully practice their faith (baptized and receive the Holy communion) and ready to serve God through Mary.
Aim: Legion works in close partnership with the priest in evangelizing  souls.
Some common legion duties include:
(1) Home to home visitation (ii) Hospital visitation (iii) Cleaning of the church (iv) Teaching of catechism (v) Visitation of lapsed Catholics etc.
Benefit: Attain the glory of God through the holiness of members developed by prayer and cooperation under ecclesiastical guidance.

Confraternity of Christian Mothers (C.C.M)

Slogan: Mother of Sorrows, Queen of Peace… Pray for us.
Meeting Day: 4th Sunday of every month after 6:30am Mass

Configuration: A society that comprises wedded Catholic women; a gathering of mothers to pray for their family and the church.
Aim: It is a gathering where Mother Mary as our model teaches us how to pray, bearing our sorrow in terms of difficult situation, and as mothers, to be a role model to our daughters in terms of prayer life in their marital home, mode of dressing, obedience and respect to God and husbands. Encourage women in fulfilling their marital obligations in the home and church.
Benefit: Life of prayer and intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary in our daily lives.

Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria (C.C.R.N)

Prayer Group name: The Light of God
Slogan: Praise God.
Meeting Days: Prayer meeting day is every Thursday. 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Bible Study: Every Wednesday immediately after evening Mass.
Configuration: It is a Catholic Renewal movement open to everyone in the Church who wants to continue to worship God in spirit and truth. It is a Catholic based community aimed to deepen the spiritual life of members and the church.

Benefit: Members develop a deep knowledge of God through his teachings found in the Holy Bible and the doctrines of the Catholic Church. She also organizes the Life in the Spirit Seminar annually.

Catholic Biblical Instructors' Union (C.B.I.U.)

Meeting Day: Every Wednesday after the evening Mass and Sunday after 6:30am Mass.
Configuration: It is a society open to everyone in the Catholic Church who wants to deepen his or her knowledge about Sacred scripture, Catholic doctrines, and the Traditions of the Church.
Aims: To bring back with the aid of the Holy Bible, the lost sheep of the Catholic Church. To correct the false impression that Catholics do not read the Bible. Etc.
Benefits: Ability to study and know the bible. Ability to know the catholic doctrines, dogmas and teachings. Potential to stand before the public and preach. Ability to pray very well, practice humility and humanitarian services.

Association of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary

Slogan: Glory to Jesus! Honour to Mary! Most Sacred of Jesus! Thy Kingdom come!
Meeting day: Every Thursday after morning mass and Thursday at 5.30pm
Configuration: Membership is open to any Catholic who is a communicant and must be prepared to enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus in his/her home.
Aim: To recognize and love the Lord. To repair in the family, the social injuries committed against the authority and love of the divine Heart of Jesus. To make of the home a sanctuary of powerful family prayer where the love of God is spread. To give financial support when needed.
Benefit: Sanctification of every home and heart.

SSVP Society of Saint Vincent De Paul (SSVP)

Motto: No Work of Charity Is Foreign to the Society
Slogan: St. Vincent De Paul… Pray for Us.
Patron saint: St. Vincent De Paul
Meeting day: Every Sunday except first Sunday after 6.30am Mass.
Configuration: A worldwide catholic voluntary organization of lay men and women dedicated to offering personal help and support to those in need, and indeed “the poor” thus; fulfilling uniquely one of the principal apostolates of the church. Categories of membership include: (a) Active (b) Auxiliary (c) Youth (d) Benefactors

Aim: Life of Prayer, and life of Charity through which we have encountered Christ in the poor.
Benefit: Obtain grace and blessings through the act of charity to humanity.

Divine Mercy Prayer Group

Work of Mercy: 3rd Sunday of every month.
Meeting Day: 2nd Sunday of every month.
Divine Prayer: 3 o’clock every day at the Chapel.
Station of the Cross: Every Tuesdays and Fridays immediately after Divine Mercy prayer.
Configuration: Divine Mercy is a pious prayer society founded by Saint Maria Faustina and open to all Catholics of all age, young and old.
Aim: Prays for mercy to be granted to all the souls in the world and also seeks to harness the spirituality of her members. Divine mercy society also carries out work of Mercy in the church and also outside the church, as it is one of the tasks given to her members to fulfill (Mathew 25:43).
Benefits: Obtain indulgence from God, constant reconciliation with God through prayers and improvement of your life. Enable you to practice works of mercy and offer prayer for the sick/loved ones.

St. Anthony of Padua Society

Slogan: Antho Padua, Viva, Wonder worker of Padua.
Motto: Prayer is our Might, Service our strength.
Meeting Day: Every Tuesday at 5.45pm
Feast Day: June 13th
Configuration: Open to every catholic inspired by the life and times of St. Anthony of Padua.
Aim: To help build the spiritual life of Catholics through prayers and works of charity while fostering the work of evangelization.
Benefit: Grow ones’ spiritual life. Deepen our sense charity and draw us closer to God.

Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Motto: Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Pray for us
Patron saint: St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori.
Feast Day: 27th June.
Weekly Devotion: Every Sunday immediately after 6:30am mass.
Monthly Novena: 1-9th of every month.
General meeting: Every 3rd Sunday of the month.
Configuration: Membership is open to all parishioners of every age.
Benefit: Guaranteed prayers answered through our Mother of Perpetual Help.

Block Rosary Crusade

Motto: Prayer, Penance and Sacrifice
Slogan: Glory to Jesus…. Unto Life Everlasting. Amen
Patron Saints: Saints Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta.
Meeting day: Every day at 6:00pm
Configuration: The crusade is open to everyone of all ages.
Aim: The Crusade is specifically meant for praying the Holy Rosary and spreading the message of Fatima.
Benefits: The Holy Rosary is a weapon to fight against evil from your dwelling as a Rosarian. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother Most Chaste intercedes for you as her child. The grace and blessings of God is granted unto you.

ASSOCIATE MISSIONARY OF ST PAUL (A.M.S.P)

Slogan: Ambassadors for Christ
Meeting Day: Last Sunday of every month after 9:00am Mass
Inaugurated: December 2018 in St. Pio
Configuration: A society of lay Catholic men and women who of their own volition join their resources in assisting the Missionary Society of St Paul in her Apostolic works.
Aim: To help train missionary priests for the Church in order that the Good news may continue to be spread. Associate
missionaries go to the mission by giving.
Benefit: Divine grace and blessings through the service to God in the missionary movement.

Man of Order and Discipline of Nigeria (M.O.D)

Motto: Faith in Charity and Good Conscience
Slogan: M.O.D! ORDER!
Founder: Rev Monsignor Okechukwu Patrick Achebe.
Meeting Day: 3rd Sundays of every month after 9am Mass.
Configuration: MOD is a paramilitary and non-profitable organization in the church open for boys and girls that are 12 years and above.
Aim: To bring people closer to God through service, and to give children and students religious training and upbringing. Man of Order and Discipline assists in securing the church and prides herself in being vigilant at all times. She also helps youths to build not just an ordered and disciplined life, but also their personal spiritual and prayer life.
Benefit: Develop a better attitude towards life. Receive God’s blessings through maintenance of order and discipline.

The Little Saints Drama Troupe

Slogan: All for one, One for all
Meeting Day: Every 2nd Sunday of the month.
Rehearsal Days: Wednesday after Evening mass and Sunday evening. 
Configuration: The Little saint’s drama troupe is a group that is open to all parishioners of the Church, both young and old.
Aim: To preach the good news to all through entertainment such as Drama, skits, choreographies, and dance. And also, to raise quality actors and actresses for the future with a high standard of Catholic morals. ST. GENESIUS OF ROME… PRAY FOR US
Benefit: Early foundation of a child in the right and godly path. Exhibition of talent and development.
